Hello furrends! My name is Mia and I'm the founder and CEO of Rubyscuits (pronounced ROO-BISCUITS), named after my best girl, Ruby. Rubyscuits is truly a passion project! It all started when I began baking homemade treats for Ruby as a puppy. She was obsessed. So obsessed, in fact, that she once snuck a whole container of freshly baked treats off the counter and ate every last one. No regrets on her end.

Around that same time, I started noticing posts online about how many store-bought dog treats are packed with preservatives and fillers that can actually take years off a dog's life. Loving Ruby as much as I do, the idea of feeding her something that could shorten our time together didn't sit right with me — so I decided to do something about it myself.

I spent time researching real, healthy ingredients and testing recipe after recipe, mixing and matching until I found combinations Ruby actually loved. Once I felt good about a few recipes, I gave some to a friend's dog to test outside my own kitchen — and the feedback was so positive that I decided to take it further and build a small website. My friends started buying from me first, then people in my local community, and it slowly grew from there.

Ever since I was a little kid, I've felt a deep connection to animals, especially dogs. There's nothing that breaks my heart faster than a homeless pup without a loving home. So Rubyscuits isn't just about delicious treats, it's also about making a difference. 20% of every purchase is donated to animal rescues, because every dog deserves to feel as loved as Ruby does.

I'm so passionate about making healthy, homemade goodies for Ruby, and I can't wait to share them with your furbabies too! 🐾
